Bren's Special K Peanut Butter Treats

1 cup Karo syrup
1 cup white sugar
2 cups Peanut butter
4 cups Special K cereal
2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips

Combine Karo, sugar and peanut butter in a large pot over medium heat until smooth and simmering.  Remove from heat. Add 4 cups of Special K cereal to mixture.  Stir until cereal is evenly coated.  Spread mixture into a greased glass pan and let cool.  Melt chocolate and spread over cereal mixture.  Let harden and cut into bars.
