Peanut Butter Blossoms

3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. butter
1 c. peanut butter
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
Hershey Kisses or chocolate stars

Cream butter and peanut butter. Gradually add sugars, eggs, and vanilla. Add dry ingredients and mix well (may have to add a little water.) Shape dough into balls 1 teaspoon each. Roll balls in sugar and place on greased
baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes. Remove from oven and place chocolate candy star in center fo each cookie. Press firmly so cookie crackles around edges. Bake 2 to 5 minutes longer.
